Modern life in historic walls: Ettenheim shows a unique Baroque cityscape. The bishops of Strasbourg, whom Ettenheim served as a disctrict seat on the right bank of the Rhine for centuries, have left many traces in the winding narrow streets. The prince garden in front of the southern gate is designed according to the Baroque model. The city of Ettenheim received the gold medal for the "Entente Florale" competition. The pilgrimage church St. Landelin in the district of Ettenheimmünster accommodates the best preserved Silbermann organ on the right bank of the Rhine and impresses with the most beautiful baroque church architecture.
Ettenheim is one of the most traditional wine-growing communities in Baden. White and red burgundy grapes are made by several wineries and a winegrowers' cooperative to wonderful wines.
The beautiful landscape at the crossing of the Rhine plain in the Black Forest allows many activities: Whether on foot, by bike or the Segway - Ettenheim keeps numerous tips and tours ready to explore land and life.
