A Grand Canyon in Germany? Well, maybe not quite so high and not so deep, but no less breathtaking is the so-called Swabian Grand Canyon in the Upper Donau Nature Park. The landscape at the Donau breakthrough cannot be more beautiful: up to 200 meters high rugged rocks, wooded mountains and in between the lovely meandering Donau.

With its unique landscape and variety of different habitats, the Upper Donau Nature Park enables nature experiences at the highest level.

Hikers will discover the beauty of the Donau region via numerous quality and premium trails, for example the 6 Donau waves trails. Cyclists can enjoy 16 varied Donau biking tours. A special highlight is the Donau Cycle Path, whose first two stages from the source in Donaueschingen to Sigmaringen are simply overwhelming.
