Welcome to Idar-Oberstein, the gemstone region

On three floors with more than 10,000 exhibits almost all gemstone kinds of the world are exhibited in the German Gemstone Museum (Deutsches Edelsteinmuseum). The museum's vaulted cellar also regularly hosts temporary exhibitions on special gemstone themes.

Good to know: The museum is barrier-free and has a lift.
