Welcome to the Wine Region Kaiserstuhl and Tuniberg

Like an island between the Black Forest and the Vosges mountains, the small volcanic mountain range of the Kaiserstuhl and south of it the ridge of the Tuniberg rise. One of the sunniest and warmest regions in Germany welcomes you! Its unique natural landscape with pretty wine-growing villages, excellent wines and outstanding cuisine invite you to experience and enjoy a variety of activities.

Of course, wine-growing is the number one topic here: the ideal climatic and geological conditions allow for top wines such as full-bodied Pinot Gris or fiery Pinot Noir with a southern temperament.

The beautiful landscapes are also worth discovering. Wide views over terraced vineyards and colourful flowering meadows alternate with forests and deep, ravine-like hollow paths. Rare animal species such as bee-eaters, praying mantis, green lizard and hoopoe live here. Species-rich bushes with wild roses or numerous wild orchid species line the wayside.
