The castle museum with the Hall of Diana is open for visits on Sundays and public holidays from 11 am to 5 pm.
From Monday to Friday, you can take a look at the Hall of Diana during the day by prior arrangement.
Guided tours are arranged by prior appointment.

Engers Castle served as a hunting and pleasure palace for the Electors of Trier, who resided in nearby Koblenz. The prominent riverside location directly on the Rhine as well as the magnificently decorated "Diana Hall" are among the castle's special features.
It is likely that the re-establishment of nearby Neuwied in 1648 and the construction of the castle there were the reasons why the predecessor fortress Kunostein, built from 1371, had to make way for the new construction of Engers Castle in its place. In reaction to the building activity of the Counts of Wied, Kunostein was completely demolished after a modernization of the castle complex had been considered in the meantime. From 1758 to 1762, a well-preserved late Baroque castle complex was built. It served as a hunting and pleasure palace for the Electors of Trier, who resided in nearby Koblenz. The prominent riverside location directly on the Rhine and the magnificently decorated "Diana Hall" are among the special features of Engers Castle. Additionally, since 1995, the state foundation Villa Musica has been based in this splendid building, training young chamber musicians.
