The ancient baths of this splendid manor house have been reconstructed, creating a pleasant place to linger. Not in the bath, of course, but in the open air with a wide view over Longuich and the vineyards. Right next door you will find a vineyard with vines cultivated in the same way as in ancient times.
The other parts of the estate have not been excavated and reconstructed. The main building must have been huge, however. The façade was probably 110 m long! There were open colonnades, as can still be seen on site. The whole building was plastered and splendidly decorated. The spa had a hot and cold water baths, and a sweat room. Of course, there was a heating system and also black and white marble panelling. And if you "had to", you went to a latrine that was flushed with recycled water from the pools. There was also a water conduit that ran from the hills down into the valley, but it is still hidden in the ground. But you can visit one in Pölich, parts of which you can even walk through.
A station on the Roads of the Roman.
